About the Course

Who Is This For:

Ability level (Adv. Intermediate - Advanced)

This is an advanced all mountain camp for skiers who want to maximise their enjoyment by improving their technique in different terrain types all over the mountain.

An example of the ability for this camp; skiers who can already carve turns on an easy blue run, make short turns on a steep blue run and ski in the fall line in easy moguls.

Camp Outcomes:

Level up your all mountain skiing in the beautiful Nekoma resort, a hidden gem that is off the beaten path. Empty lift lines, no crowds and plenty of that famous Japanese POW.

You will learn essential keys to help you unlock some of your best turns yet so you can enjoy skiing even more than you already do! Underpinned by BPS technical insight; you will progress your carved medium/long turns, short turns, powder, moguls and off-piste skills.

You will learn and do:

  • Ski boot setup health check (optional)

  • Advanced carving techniques

  • Retraction-Extension mechanics to master advanced terrain

  • Steep skiing and powder skiing tactics.

  • Better short turns in all terrain

  • Coaching around adapting to terrain, flow and building confidence.

  • Ski faster but in control.

  • Powder skiing when we get it!

This is a co-ed camp! If you are looking for female specific training, Demelza's coaching style always accommodates for women's specific physical and psychological needs.

Terrain:

We will be learning to ski varied terrain at moderate to higher speeds, so solid baseline skills and relative confidence across the mountain is necessary to participate, as well as a willingness to be adventurous and challenge yourself in new terrain types. You don't have to be a style master, but you need to be ready to push yourself in a safe and supportive environment.

Physical: In good shape to make the most of 5 days of skiing all day.

Travel Info – Getting to Nekoma

From Tokyo Station, take a fast train (Shinkansen) to Koriyama, then connect via local train or bus to Aizu, followed by a short taxi or shuttle to Nekoma.

It typically takes around half a day. Tom has often travelled from Tokyo in the morning and been skiing by the afternoon.

Coaching Team & Atmosphere

Demelza's close friend and fellow Ski Coach Collective member Tom Gellie will also be coaching a separate group at Nekoma during the same week.

Together, the coaches create a welcoming, inspiring atmosphere where great skiing and great conversations go hand in hand.

This is a chance to experience a quiet, authentic Japanese ski resort, far from the usual tourist spots — with top-tier coaching, powdery snow, and a warm, community vibe.

Pricing For The On Snow Coaching Program

  • Coaching: $2,600 USD for the 5 day program
